On May 25, 2016, the Vice President of China Li Yuanchao met with the President of India Pranab Mukherjee in Beijing. They attended the welcome reception co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Embassy of India, Beijing, and both delivered a speech.
In attendance to receive the Indian President was a warm group consisting of dignitaries, famed academic and cultural figures including Vice Director of the Buddhist Association of China and Abbot of Yufo Temple in Shanghai, Ven. Juexing; Vice Secretary General of the Buddhist Association of China and Abbot of Lingyin Templein Hangzhou Ven. Guangquan; and the Head of the International Department of the Buddhist Association of China Ven. Puzheng.
