On the morning of March 11, 2025, the 2025 Spring Opening Ceremony and 2024 Graduation Ceremony of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy were grandly held in the Dharma Hall of the Fayun Campus.
During the opening ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Zhejiang Province Shao Zhong, the President of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy Venerable Guangquan, and Professor Li Zhihu from Hangzhou Dianzi University jointly presented diplomas to the graduates. Subsequently, the Vice President of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy Master Huiren announced the list of outstanding students for 2024.
Venerable Guangquan expressed five expectations for all faculty and students. First, they should deepen their understanding of Buddhism by exploring the wisdom found in Buddhist classics and embracing Buddhist culture. Second, they should cultivate a sense of national and social responsibility, actively engaging with the challenges of our times. Third, they should enhance their overall quality by strengthening practical skills and pursuing holistic development. Fourth, they should foster gratitude and a sense of responsibility, giving back to society with a benevolent and thankful heart. Lastly, they should embrace their historical missions by expanding disciplinary construction and enhancing their technological knowledge.
