The launch meeting for the educational campaign “Study the Regulations, Observe the Precepts, Focus on Practice, and Build a Positive Image” within the religious circle was recently held in Beijing.
At the meeting, it was stressed that this educational campaign is an inevitable requirement for upholding the Sinicization of religion in China and for promoting a healthy transmission of religious traditions in our country. It should be problem-oriented, focusing on addressing prominent issues in the conduct and ethics within religious circles. It also aims to correct religious conduct, govern disorderly practices, and establish a favorable image of Chinese religion that venerates thrift over extravagance and upholds sincere faith and proper conduct.
At the meeting, all national religious associations issued an initiative on venerating thrift over extravagance and maintaining sincere faith and proper conduct. Members of the standing committees and supervisory boards of the national religious associations, as well as the leaders of key religious venues and religious educational institutions, attended the meeting.
