On October 21, 2025, the nationwide Buddhist community held in Beijing a mobilization meeting for the educational campaign “Study the Regulations, Observe the Precepts, Focus on Practice, and Build a Positive Image”, combining both online and offline participation. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the Thirty-second National Joint Meeting of Religious Communities and set out arrangements for the next key tasks.
he meeting pointed out that broad and in-depth implementation of the educational campaign across the nationwide Buddhist community is an essential requirement for upholding Buddhism Sinicization in China and for promoting a healthy transmission of Chinese Buddhism. It is a practical measure and important lever to educate and guide Buddhists to comply with laws and regulations, to promote religious practice, and to establish a virtuous image of Buddhists as patriotic and devoted to the religion with steadfast faith, proper conduct, and a pure, solemn demeanor. This campaign is intended to stimulate Buddhists’ internal motivation for self-education, self-management, and self-discipline. The meeting emphasized that carrying out the educational campaign is an important task for the Buddhist community now and in the future. The Buddhist community should, with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, genuinely unify thoughts and actions, earnestly implement all work requirements, and ensure the campaign proceeds in an orderly and successful manner.
