As the new year begins and all beings are renewed, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou held a Chinese New Year blessing dharma assembly at the Mahavira Hall on February 16, the eve of the Yisi (Year of the Horse) Lunar New Year.
At around 10:00 p.m., the monastic community of Lingyin Temple gathered in the Mahavira Hall, reciting sutras and mantras in unison and praising the holy name of the Buddha. They prayed for the blessings of the Three Jewels, the protection of celestial beings, the ever-brightening light of the Buddha, the perpetual turning of the Dharma Wheel, favorable weather, and peace and stability for the nation. May the Dharma protectors and devotees enjoy auspiciousness in the new year and may their blessings and wisdom flourish.
