On October 28, 2026—the nineteenth day of the ninth lunar month of the Bingwu Year, the anniversary of Guanyin Bodhisattva's Renunciation—the Buddhist rites at all inner and outer altars of the Water-Land Dharma Assembly were successively brought to completion at Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou. The rite of sending off the holy ones was held: the noble beings returned to the celestial realms, and beings of the six realms were reborn in the Pure Land. The seven-day Water-Land Dharma Assembly thus drew to a successful close.

Since the Dharma Assembly commenced on October 23, blessed by all Buddhas and protected by the dragons and devas of the heavens, the rites at every hall have been conducted with solemnity and in accordance with the Dharma throughout the seven days and nights. The presiding Buddhist masters have practised with compassion and diligence, while volunteers and lay devotees have offered wholehearted support, delivering all sentient beings of the past and present—those on land, in water, and in the air—thereby benefiting both the departed and the living and bringing joy to humans and devas alike.

May the supreme merits of this completed Water-Land Dharma Assembly be dedicated:

· To the deceased: that they transcend suffering, attain bliss, and be reborn in the Pure Land;

· To the living: that disasters be averted, lifespans extended, and blessings and wisdom increased.

We further pray:

· For peace and wellbeing among all people, and harmony throughout the world;

· For the ever-brighter shining of the light of the Buddha's Dharma, and for the ceaseless turning of the Dharma Wheel.
