The 2017 Symposium for Buddhist School Educators in China Held at Lingyin Temple

On December 14, 2017, a symposium for Buddhist school educators across the country was hosted by The Buddhist Association of China at Lingyin Temple. The workshop, co-organized by The Buddhist Association of Zhejiang and undertaken by The Buddhist Association of Hangzhou, aims to raise the teaching standards of Yogacara in Buddhist educational institutions across the country. Influential Buddhist masters and experts in this field were invited to give lectures to over 100 Buddhist masters who registered for the symposium workshop which focused on Yogacara among other noted topics, such as current political affairs.

Distinguished guests who attended the the opening ceremony in the morning included the Vice-Chairman of The Buddhist Association of China Master Zongxing, the Director of the Department for Religious Educational Institutions, State Administration for Religious Affairs of P.R.C. Ms. Wang Lei, the Vice-Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Zhejiang Province Mr. Chen Zhenhua, and the Vice-Secretary General of The Buddhist Association of China, Vice-Chairman of The Buddhist Association of Zhejiang, Chairman of The Buddhist Association of Hangzhou and Abbot of Lingyin Temple Ven. Guangquan. They delivered insightful speeches, erspectively, to encourage all educators to take responsibility for and promote Buddhist education as well as to make more contribution to the cultivation of Buddhist talents by enhancing their teaching ability.
