The 4th Yunlin Charitable Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Opened at Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

On August 20, 2019, the 4th Yunlin Charitable Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition opened at the Zhizhi Hall of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. The Abbot of Lingyin Temple Venerable Master Guangquan attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Former Vice-chairman of the 11th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Mr. Zhang Hongming, the Chairman of Zhejiang Province Female Calligraphers Association Ms. Li Jun, the Deputy Editor of Art News of China Mr. Zhao Hui cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony at invitation. Over 160 people, including exhibitors and authors of the artistic works, attended the opening ceremony.

A total number of over 200 pieces of works of painting, calligraphy and seal carving were displayed at the exhibition, featuring distinct themes and rich connotations. They fully expressed the pride of Hangzhou people in the founding, development and rise of China, and their love for the country and the aspiration to live a better life.
