At 8 a.m., lay Buddhist practitioners seeking to take refuge gathered at the Zhizhi Hall, marking the official start of the ceremony. Representatives of the faithful welcomed Venerable Master Guangquan under the guidance of Buddhist masters. The lay disciples, led by Venerable Master Guangquan, focused their minds and joined their palms in respect, sincerely inviting the Three Jewels to descend upon the ceremony while deeply repenting for the negative karma accumulated since the beginningless kalpa. After the repentance, Venerable Master Guangquan imparted the Three Refuges to the practitioners. The Three Refuges were established in their hearts, planting the seeds of Buddhahood and inspiring the great aspiration for enlightenment. The entire Refuge Ceremony was conducted in a pure and proper manner, solemn and dignified, filling the attendees with Dharma joy and deep faith.
