From November 19 to 25, 2024, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou held the Householder Bodhisattva Precepts Transmission Ceremony, where over 160 disciples of the Three Jewels generated the Bodhi mind and received the great Bodhisattva precepts.
This seven-day percepts transmission included the lay practitioners participating in ceremonies and teachings under the guidance of Buddhist masters. They systematically studied the Bodhisattva precepts, the rules for conduct, rituals for worship, and etiquette such as wearing Buddhist robes. Additionally, through repentance practices, the lay practitioners confessed their past transgressions, purifying their bodies and minds and eliminating obstacles.
On the morning of November 24, the abbot of Lingyin Temple Venerable Master Guangquan, along with Master Jiefa and Master Huiguan, transmitted the householder Bodhisattva precepts to the disciples of the Three Jewels. Under the guidance of the three masters, the participants sincerely repented of their karmic obstructions, inviting the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to bear witness and praying for the attainment of pure and superior precepts. The ceremony was solemn and the Dharma assembly was extraordinary, with everyone feeling the auspicious blessings and support of the Three Jewels, joyfully vowing to walk the Bodhisattva path and attain enlightenment!
