Hello everyone. As we prepare to bid farewell to 2024 with the ringing of the New Year’s bells, we step into 2025 filled with hope.
I am Guangquan from Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou. On the occasion of the approaching New Year 2025, I would like to extend New Year’s blessings and sincere greetings to people from all walks of life on behalf of the Lingyin Sangha. We are grateful for everyone’s concern and support for the Buddhist endeavors of Lingyin Temple over the past year!
As the New Year begins, everything is renewed. In the coming year, we will continue to promote the Buddhist spirit of “great compassion without conditions and great empathy for all beings,” and we will cultivate the heart of the lotus of Buddhism that aims to “adorn the land and benefit sentient beings.” We will spread the Dharma and benefit the society, contributing to the high-quality development and the establishment of a common prosperity demonstration area.
I wish everyone in the new year to embrace new realms of life, to refrain from all evils and to practice good deeds. May you be tolerant in life, grateful to your family, strive for progress in your careers, and diligently pursue your Buddhist studies. Stay true to your original aspirations, keep your minds pure, cultivate blessings, and benefit both yourselves and others. Do not let the times pass you by; continually improve, maintain joy in your hearts, and move forward with courage and determination.
As the bells of 2025 are about to ring, let us together pray for the new year: may the people be at peace, society be harmonious, our nation prosper, and the world enjoy peace and tranquility!
