Abbot Guangquan Delivers Weekend Buddhist Lecture on Heart Sutra

On May 17, 2015, Ven. Abbot Guangquan delivered a weekend Buddhist lecture themed the essence of The Heart of Prajna Paramita Sutra (herein after referred to as The Heart Sutra), and 280 lay Buddhists and Buddhist believers from different areas attended the lecture with Dharma joy. Ven. Guangquan began with the introduction of The Heart Sutra to China, then explained the principles for Buddhist scripture translation and told stories about Master Xuanzang and other masters translating Buddhist scriptures. When presenting the meaning of “Form does not differ from emptiness; Emptiness does not differ from form”, Ven. Guangquan cited the research findings in quantum mechanics to reveal the close relationship between Buddhism and science. With his demonstration, Buddhist believers had a better understanding of the Buddha Dharma.
